My 4 year old son came out of his room one day and said “Bad news guys, Avatar is for 10 and up” I convinced him that Santa’s elves could make one for 5 and up. He loves this game! It is easy enough for him to play and understand and he gets so excited with the cards and seeing which one he gets. We help him count up all the points at the end. We all love this game.

While this game is rated ages 5+, it is simplistic in both design and method. The “advanced” game is not much different from the basic game. We ended up changing the rules and making our own score sheets modeled after the regular Yahtzee game to make it more challenging. My daughter loves it because it’s Avatar, though!
